Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns is among those who should get his own statue next according to Dwyane Wade who recently made headlines after getting honored by the Miami Heat with his own bronze representation.

It should be noted, too, that the Dwyane Wade statue went viral for hilarious reasons.
KD is a great player and he knows it based on the way he converse with X users. However, to him, he does not think he will get one.

He appreciated Wade’s opinion since getting a statute means holding a player in a very high stature. He sai he is thankful for being seen as someone deserving.
“I highly, highly doubt I get a statue of me put anywhere for playing basketball. I appreciate the love, though, and the respect that people show me. That’s enough for me,” he said during an interview for the show ‘Up and Adams’.
Kevin Durant statue vs Dwyane Wade Statue
KD has a logical explanation about why he will not get one.
“Dwayne Wade is a different case, man. He is Miami. He is the Heat. So it’s a different case with him. There’s very few players that get that type of love in a city like that, and it’s usually those guys that got the HOF career, with the championships, and you’ve been with one city for a long time. That’s not the case for me.”
His explanation makes sense as those who recently got one – Wade, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iversion, Shaquille O’Neal – are loved by the cities they won a championship for.
Durant won two championships with the Golden State Warriors but that team was Stephen Curry’s and not his even if he was the best player in the squad that time.

Fans also love players who put in the work and was there during the team’s high and lows.
KD hopped from one team to another after years of trying with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He joined the Warriors, then the Brooklyn Nets, and now the Suns. In all those teams, he was part of a Big 3 and so, there was not much lows to endure. The next two teams are also still without a title with him in the line-up.
