A’ja Wilson wished Kiah Stokes, who recently celebrated her birthday, turning 32 years old with a jokey message on Instagram. Wilson shared two pictures of herself and Stokes guarding a rival player. Wilson and Stokes currently play for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA, and will be soon seen on the hardwood floor in the upcoming season which will kick off in May.
While Wilson has been playing for the Las Vegas Aces since 2018, Stokes joined the team only in 2021. Before that, Stokes played for the New York Liberty after being selected as the 11th overall pick in the very first round of the 2015 WNBA draft. Meanwhile, Wilson joined the Las Vegas Aces after being selected by the team as the first overall pick in the first round of the 2018 WNBA draft.

After joining the Las Vegas Aces in 2018, A’ja Wilson has managed to win the WNBA championship twice, in 2022 and then in 2023. Wilson was also crowned WNBA MVP thrice. In the upcoming WNBA season, Wilson will be a standout player for the Las Vegas Aces, and will hope to take the team to the championship once more. Before joining the Aces, Wilson played college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2014 to 2018.

In other news, A’ja Wilson’s college basketball team, the South Carolina Gamecocks recently defeated the Duke Blue Devils in the Elite Eight round and won, gaining their entry ticket to the Final Four round.
The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Duke Blue Devils with a final score of 54-50, after Chloe Kitts led the team’s offense with 14 points, along with four rebounds, while Sania Feagin added another 12 points for the team, with eight boards and three helpers. Te-Hina Paopao and Raven Johnson also contributed to the team with nine points and seven points respectively.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will be heading to the Final Four round to play against an undecided opponent. With the win, South Carolina is currently reigning the Southeastern table with a 15-1 conference score and 34-3 overall score. The Texas Longhorns are one spot lower with a similar score in the table. Joyce Edwards is leading South Carolina’s offense with a 12.7 point average, while Milaysia Fulwiley holds an 11.9 point average this season.
