Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson was the star of a new motivational ad from her brand partner, Nike, which sent fires not only to fans but to other basketball greats as well.
In the video, A’Ja was playing with a girl, and they both chanted to a song dedicated to her, her achievements, and her basketball legacy. The ad was to promote her signature shoe line, the A’One, which is set to release this week.
The ad got fans fired up, as well as NBA players like Los Angeles Lakers veteran LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who both shared the ad to their respective Instagram stories.

In a previous video in promotion of her signature shoe line, A’ja Wilson described the mindset behind the design of her shoe, with game performance in mind.
“Got a little flash to it,” she said in the video. “Pink is kind of my favorite color if you can’t tell. Everyone in the arena knows that you have on the A’One. The A’One is something that is durable, but at the same time, very comfortable. Obviously, I love it. I’m playing in it.”
“When you play, the last thing you want to think about is your shoes. We needed the traction to be great, because when you think about the movement, it’s not just a lot of up and down. It’s a lot of cuts, it’s a lot of slashes. It’s just a lot of stop-and-gos. Whether you’re in transition or just the flow of the games.”
“When it’s A’ja, it’s top tier, it’s A’One, and that’s what you’re gonna get.”

Dawn Staley Defends A’Ja Wilson From Geno Auriemma’s Remark
Legendary South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley clapped back at UConn Huskies head coach Geno Auriemma for his recent statement that seemingly threw shade towards A’ja Wilson and her college legacy.
“Contrary to the belief of one of my coaching colleagues, her statue wasn’t in response to winning a national championship. It was in response to being a winner at life,” Staley said, defending the motivation behind A’ja Wilson getting her statue at South Carolina. “It’s a tribute to a hometown hero. A symbol of what’s possible for the youth of Columbia, when passion meets preparedness. A’ja Wilson represents excellence, perseverance and discipline.”
“There’s no one more deserving, no better example for young people in this community.”

Throughout her WNBA career, A’ja Wilson won two championships, which were back-to-back titles with the Aces in 2022 and 2023. She has also been named WNBA MVP three times, earning the award in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
