Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever center, was recently all in praise for South Carolina Gamecocks guard Bree Hall, fondly known as Breezy Hall, after her impressive performance against the Indiana Hoosiers. On Sunday, South Carolina took on Indiana for the second round of the NCAA tournament and won, earning their ticket to the Sweet 16 round.
The South Carolina Gamecocks finished their regular season in second place of the Southeastern table with a 15-1 conference score, and 32-3 overall, just one spot below the Texas Longhorns who finished with a 33-3 overall score.

Aliyah Boston is herself a South Carolina alumnus and played for the Gamecocks from 2019 to 2023. During her college basketball days, Boston won the NCAA championship once, in 2022. After her stint with South Carolina, Boston was selected by the Indiana Fever as the first overall pick in the very first round of the 2023 WNBA draft. In her first season with the league, Boston was awarded the ‘WNBA Rookie of the Year’.

Aliyah Boston’s College Team To Take On The Maryland Terrapins For Sweet 16
Aliyah Boston’s college basketball team, the South Carolina Gamecocks, have earned their ticket to Sweet 16 after defeating the Indiana Hoosiers in the second round of the NCAA tournament. This weekend, South Carolina will be locking horns with the Maryland Terrapins to advance to the next round of March Madness.

In the game against the Indiana Hoosiers, the South Carolina Gamecocks won with a final score of 64-53. In that game, South Carolina’s Bree Hall led the team on the scoreboard with 11 points, along with three rebounds and a pair of helpers, while Sania Feagin and Chloe Kitts each matched ten points for the team. Kitts led the team in rebounds with 11 boards in that game, and also in assists, with three helpers.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will be facing the Maryland Terrapins in a few days for Sweet 16. Maryland finished their regular season in fourth position of the Big ten table with a 13-5 conference score and 25-7 overall. While South Carolina is coming to this matchup after defeating the Indiana Hoosiers, Maryland is coming here after defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA second round.
