Amani Bartlett, LSU Tigers forward, recently showered her coach, Kim Mulkey with love, in an interview with WAFB9 Sports on Senior Day. Bartlett was one of the LSU players who were honored on Sunday as part of Senior Day. The LSU Tigers finished their regular season third in the Southeastern table with a 12-4 conference score and 27-4 overall.

“She took care of me,”Amani Bartlett said to WAFB9 Sports on being asked why she chose to stay for four seasons with the LSU Tigers.
“She took care of me.”@mani_dollazz could’ve played more at many other different schools, but stayed with @LSUwbkb. Why did she stay? Kim Mulkey.
“Even in the hard times when I wasn’t playing or I honestly felt some type of way about not getting on the court, [Mulkey] helped me so much off the court, but also to grow as a woman. She’s been that mother away from home.” Bartlett continued.

When Bartlett was asked this, she explained that coach Kim Mulkey has helped her grow in life, while also going on to remark that in a family crisis, the coach immediately asked her to go home.
