Chicago Sky star Angel Reese once again sparked discussion when he opened up a question that started out seemingly simple but then fascinated a lot of fans and encouraged further discussion.

In one of her recent posts on X, Angel Reese raised one curious question when it comes to terms used in the sports industry.

“So what’s gonna be the name for the male wags??? 😅😭asking for a friend,” she wrote in her post.

Another one said: “HAFABs = Husbands and F**kBoyz and Boyfriends 😂”

WAGs is an acronym for “wives and girlfriends” and is commonly used in sports to refer to the romantic partners of male athletes. The term originated in British tabloids in the early 2000s and gained widespread popularity during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, when the media heavily covered the glamorous lifestyles of footballers’ partners.

The fascination with WAGs grew as they became high-profile figures, often appearing at major sporting events, influencing fashion trends, and even starring in reality TV shows. Celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Coleen Rooney helped solidify the term in pop culture, making it a staple in discussions about athletes’ personal lives.

Reese herself was once a WAG, although it can be questionable since the term is often attached to significant others who are non-athletes. She was previously in a relationship with Cam’Ron Fletcher, a basketball player for Florida State University. The two met through basketball and confirmed their relationship in June 2023, sharing moments from their vacation in Jamaica.

However, Reese later revealed that she is currently single, stating that she doesn’t want to be attached to anyone.

Angel Reese Gets Bold Prediction From 4x-WNBA Champion

In one of the most recent episodes of her podcast “A Touch More,” WNBA legend Sue Bird gave her bold prediction on how many people will witness the much-awaited matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever, with the rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark expected to be on the highlight.

“First, it’s the Fever versus the Chicago Sky. Wonder why they did that,” Bird said. “We have not seen Caitlin Clark play in a long time, ok? And it’s against Angel Reese. So, my guess there is we’re gonna see like 3-plus million [viewers], which I’m sure will smash some record.”

During the 2024 season, Angel Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting 39.1% from the field and 18.8% from three-point range.
