Are WNBA rookie Angel Reese and NBA rising star Jalen Duren an item already? The Chicago Sky forward and Detroit Pistons big man were seen, although separately, at what appeared to be the same vacation spot, sparking rumors that they might be dating there.
The 22-year-old Reese first posted a photo of her in a swimsuit and pink shades at an unknown vacation spot in her Instagram Stories.
The day later, Jalen Duren, aged 20, posted an Instagram story of the sunset in his vacation place. Still, keen followers of Duren and Reese were quick to conjecture that Duren was in the same place as Reese, claiming that Duren’s spot is also part of the resort Reese was checking in.
As of press time, neither Reese nor Duren confirmed or denied their relationship status, but one thing is for sure: they are enjoying their vacation.
Reese, one of the top contenders for the WNBA Rookie of the Year this season, is taking a much-needed break following a busy 2024 dating back from her last collegiate year until the first half of her maiden pro journey.
The league’s All-Star break is prolonged this year due to Team USA’s campaign in the Paris Olympics.
On the other hand, Duren has a longer break as the Pistons will not play pro basketball again until late October, starting the 2024–2025 NBA season.
Angel Reese’s dating history
Whether Reese and Duren confirm or deny their relationship, this is not the first time Reese has been dating someone.
Back in her amateur days, Reese, the former Lousiana State star, was in a relationship with former Florida State player Cam’ron Fletcher.
Reese admitted through the 1 Star Recruits podcast in June last year that she was dating Fletcher, 22, like her.
“We both play the same sport so we understand each other’s schedule. I think that also helps,” Reese said.
However, Reese and Fletcher broke up just last March, just as the March Madness was ongoing.
While Reese already turned pro, Fletcher entered the transfer portal and eventually committed to Xavier.
On the other hand, Duren has kept some of the interesting facts about him to himself, especially his love life.
No one knows if Duren once dated someone or is currently in a relationship since he was drafted into the NBA in 2022.
One thing we know, though, is that Duren is expected to have a larger role in his third year in Detroit, as the Pistons now look to make at least a run in the play-in games.
