Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is wasting no time pampering herself, getting some well-deserved self-care, and recovery from her recent injuries, all in preparation for the 2025 WNBA season.

With only weeks before the 2205 season of teh WNBA, Angel Reese is taking full advantage of her remaining time in the offseason before once again sprinting back into court action. As part of her self-care and recovery routine, Reese posted on her Instagram story a photo of herself under an IR therapy session.

“Nightime girl therapy,” Reese wrote on her IG story.

Infrared (IR) therapy, as demonstrated by Angel Reese, offers several benefits, particularly for recovery and wellness. This therapy uses red infrared light to penetrate the skin and promote healing at a cellular level. It is known to help reduce pain and inflammation, improve skin tone, and support cell regeneration.

Angel Reese utilized IR therapy as part of her self-care routine to recover from the physical demands of her basketball career, particularly as part of her recent injury during Unrivaled.

Reese sustained a hand injury during the final regular-season game of the Unrivaled league, which forced her to miss the semifinals and finals. The injury occurred when she appeared to aggravate her surgically repaired left wrist, leading to concerns about her long-term health. This was the same wrist that had required surgery during her rookie WNBA season with the Chicago Sky.

Her absence was seen back then as a significant blow to her team, Rose BC, as Reese had been a dominant force throughout the season, averaging a league-best 12.1 rebounds per game. Despite her efforts to recover, the injury sidelined her during the crucial postseason games, leaving her team to compete without one of their key players. Still, Rose BC emerged triumphant and took home the league’s inaugural championship title.

Angel Reese Teases Met Gala 2025 Look

In a recent video on social media, Angel Reese teased her look for the 2025 Met Gala, which she will attend and once again coincide with her birthday.
