Angel Reese has some new plans in mind outside of basketball. The 22-year-old WNBA rookie recently laid out her goals for making a new podcast hosted by her. She joined the vlog hobby to let the world know more about her, from her personal life to her aspirations.
The Chicago Sky’s forward announced the upcoming launch of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast on her Twitter/X account. New episodes are released every Thursday, with the first coming on September 5. This immersion into the podcasting industry is familiar to ballers like Reese. Many have decided to engage in this trend a long time ago.
Reese had previously announced her upcoming social media aspirations. She had already created a new X account for the podcast, separate from her personal account. Currently, the account is composed chiefly of reposts from insider accounts.
The LSU Tigers alumnus also focuses on spreading her forthcoming vlog to her other social media accounts. Besides X, “Unapologetically Angel” is available on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
The Playmaker also sponsors the podcast, where NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal’s vlog is based. O’Neal had said he was also cooperating with Reese. The 2023 NCAA Champion’s co-host is also announced to be Maya Reese, with no relation to her.
Angel Recent posts show a pilot video outlining what to expect in the upcoming podcast. The video shows all of Reese’s highlights from college up until her first year with the Chicago Sky. Another post also made people ask everything about the WNBA’s Rookie of June this season.
Angel Reese is very excited about “Unapologetically Angel.” She attempts to relax from the WNBA pressures by engaging in her podcast. In her Instagram story, she expressed her thrill and enlivenment.
“I’m super excited to be announcing my podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel,’ I’m looking forward to this so much. Y’all going to see y’all favorite celebrities, actress, artists, anybody that y’all wanna see.”
A quick look into Angel Reese’s first pro season
Angel Reese’s first WNBA season for the Chicago Sky is already bombarded with pressure from the game and the people. As of her team’s recent loss against the Las Vegas Aces, she averages 13.5 points and 12.9 rebounds.
People often criticize the 2024 WNBA All-Star for her poor shooting. In fact, the stats show proof. She’s averaging 38.7% in field goals and 18.2% from deep, highlighting her lack of offense output.
Angel Reese seeks to tend to these issues as the WNBA regular season concludes. She aims to prove her haters wrong through her podcast.
