Former LSU Tigers stars Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow showed nothing but love after their former teammate, Aalyah Del Rosario, officially announced her commitment to Vanderbilt University.

Del Rosario broke the news via Instagram on Monday, posting a powerful photo of herself holding a basketball with Vanderbilt’s logo stamped boldly behind her. A caption reading “Committed” sealed the moment, making her next chapter official.

It didn’t take long for her LSU family to react.

“ouu i like this for you! happy for you Lele🥺💞,” Reese wrote in the comments, showing just how proud she is of her former teammate. Morrow, now preparing for her rookie WNBA season, added her own warm message: “Congratulations 🥺 growing up so fast.”

Both Reese and Morrow are gearing up for the grind of the WNBA season, but the bond they built in Baton Rouge clearly hasn’t faded. Reese, who became one of the faces of women’s college basketball during her time at LSU, continues to use her platform to support those around her—and Del Rosario is no exception.

Angel Reese and Aalyah Del Rosario combine for McDonald’s Commercial

Earlier this year, Angel Reese teamed up with Aalyah Del Rosario for a national McDonald’s commercial that aired during Super Bowl LIX. The ad celebrated Reese’s signature “Angel Reese Special” meal and also featured WNBA icons Lisa Leslie and Breanna Stewart.

The appearance marked the first national McDonald’s collaboration with a female college athlete—another historic moment for Reese and a nod to her rising influence beyond the court.

While Reese was the senior leader and Del Rosario was still just a sophomore during their time together at LSU, the chemistry they shared was real. From locker room laughs to national TV spots, the two created memories far beyond the box score.

Now, as Del Rosario heads to Vanderbilt to start a new journey, it’s clear she’ll carry the same energy and support system with her. And with Reese and Morrow cheering her on from the big leagues, Lele’s next chapter already feels like something special is brewing.
