Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is in full support of his brother Julian Reese, as the latter recently reached a milestone achievement that cemented his name in the history of men’s college basketball.
During a game against Colorado State, Angel Reese’s brother Julian, who plays for the Maryland Terrapins, achieved his 1000th career rebound. While there is no record of the number of players who have reached a similar record, Reese so far is the second player in the history of Maryland’s men’s basketball program to achieve the said feat.
To celebrate the achievement, Angel Reese went to her Instagram and shared a post celebrating Julian’s milestone as her story. She added a caption that seemed both to celebrate the achievement and to playfully congratulate her sibling, too.
“duhhhhh,” Reese captioned her story.
The highlight of the match was Derik Queen’s game-winning floater at the buzzer, following an inbounds play with just 3.7 seconds remaining. Queen’s decisive move drove him to the baseline, where he lifted a shot over Ethan Morton, bouncing the ball off the glass and into the hoop as the final buzzer sounded.
Colorado State led for much of the game, maintaining control after taking a 9-8 lead early in the first half. Maryland finally regained the lead at 49-47 with 13:39 remaining, and the teams battled fiercely for control. In the final minutes, Maryland seemed to have the upper hand with a 68-64 lead after a 9-0 run.

However, Colorado State responded with key plays, including a jumper by Jalen Lake to tie the game at 68-68 and a clutch three-pointer by Lake to regain a 71-70 lead with just 6.1 seconds left.
Angel Reese Gets a Reality Check Over WNBA Lockout Threats
Angel Reese has faced backlash recently over her controversial statements about a potential lockout within the WNBA, if a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is not reached. However, the hosts over at the PBD Podcast gave Reese a reality check.

Patrick Bet-David highlighted how the NBA provides financial assistance to the WNBA by funding some of its games as an operational cost.
“In a way the WNBA has historically lost money and receives financial support from the NBA which means that the WNBA games are not played the league can actually save money by avoiding operating costs,” Bet-David said.
“Did you guys understand what happened? Yeah, so WNBA makes money when they [don’t play games.] So if they go on a strike the NBA is like, ‘awesome’!”
Angel Reese is currently recovering from her hand injury in preparation for the 2025 WNBA season.
