Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is thankful and appreciative for the subtle support that she got from Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, as the latter spoke on a podcast wearing Reese merch, while talking about his time in Miami with LeBron James.

In her Instagram story, Angel Reese reposted a podcast clip where Dwyane Wade talked about his time in Miami with now Lakers veteran Lebron James. In the clip, Wade can be clearly seen wearing a shirt with Angel Reese’s logo on it.

“SHIRT 🔥🔥🔥 & THE MESSAGE 🔥🔥🔥” Reese captioned her IG story.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James had a remarkable partnership during their time with the Miami Heat, both on and off the court. Their friendship was a key factor in their success, as they trusted each other and played with a deep understanding of one another’s strengths.

“That’s why you saw me and LeBron in the press conferences through his entire journey in Miami,” Wade said about his relationship with LeBron. “We’re gonna be hip to hip, bro, because we have a job we have to complete and that’s to win championships.”

When LeBron joined the Heat in 2010, he teamed up with Wade and Chris Bosh to form the famous “Big Three.” Together, they led Miami to four consecutive NBA Finals appearances and won two championships in 2012 and 2013.

As a minority stakeholder in the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, Wade has shown his backing for Angel Reese and the league in various ways. Wade has also spoken about the importance of players having more power in the WNBA, aligning with Reese’s advocacy for women’s basketball.

Angel Reese Gets Praise From Chicago Sky GM For Dedication, Maturity

In a recent press interview, Chicago Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca praised Angel Reese and Kamila Cardoso for their standout performance in the team’s training camp in preparation for the 2025 WNBA season.

“Definitely a lot more maturity,” Pagliocca said. “A lot more relaxed understanding of the game, the pace of it, the flow. And it’s been two new coaching staffs, and you know, they both adjusted quickly again. Because you know, they come from winning programs in the past in college, and they’ve assimilated quickly.”

“But you know, they both had very good offseasons. Kamilla and China (women’s league), and Angel and Unrivaled (league). So, they’ve grown as players, they’re coming in in shape, and they’ve impacted the both camp days.”
