Angel Reese was already hyped up for Hailey Van Lith showing up on Draft Day, even before it was confirmed that the Chicago Sky had indeed picked her up. Lith turned heads at the function with her stunning outfit. The former TCU Horned Frogs player had hopped on board the sequin trend and wore a black sequined dress with a sweetheart neckline and full sleeves. Lith wore her down and clipped to one side with an elegant pin to complete the outfit.
Angel Reese has plenty more reason to be excited about playing alongside Hailey Van Lith in the 2025 WNBA season. Apart from Lith being a simply fantastic basketball player, Reese and Lith have shared roots in the LSU Tigers. Reese played for the LSU Tigers from 2022 to 2024, during which time she managed to get some playing time with Lith who was with the team as well.

Angel Reese and the rest of the Chicago Sky team, which now includes Hailey Van Lith, are gearing up to play against the Indiana Fever for their first game of the new season. The matchup is bound to bring up fireworks, especially with Reese facing off against Caitlin Clark, her long-standing rival.

Angel Reese Motivates Her Followers To ‘Keep Going’ After Kyren Lacy’s Death
Along with the rest of the sporting world, Angel Reese too reacted to Kyren Lacy’s death. Lacy, a talented young footballer who last played for the LSU Tigers, passed away on Saturday night after crashing his car in an apparent suicide.

Lacy was involved in legal issues after a negligent homicide case was slapped on him last year. Not only footballers but many other athletes came forward to pay their respects and honor Lacy, while also calling for improved access to mental healthcare.
“idk who needs to hear this but KEEP GOING. YOU GOT THIS!” Angel Reese tweeted from her X account, to encourage her followers to not give up on life.

Meanwhile, Angel Reese will be gearing up for the upcoming WNBA season, which will kick off in May. Apart from using her social media platforms and her podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’ to talk about sports, Reese has also been pretty vocal about her struggles with mental health, especially amidst scrutiny from the press and media. While haters continue to do what they do best, Angel Reese has still managed to trudge along, shining no matter what.
