TCU achieved a historic first-ever Elite Eight appearance by defeating Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 matchup. Hailey Van Lith’s outstanding performance, with 26 points and nine rebounds (including 12 points in the final quarter), set a single-game NCAA tournament record for TCU and was crucial to the victory. Sedona Prince also played a key role, contributing 21 points, six rebounds, and six blocks to solidify TCU’s defense.
The game ended with a final score of 71-62. Notre Dame struggled offensively, shooting just 31.9% from the field and 20% from beyond the arc.

TCU Horned Frogs women’s basketball team did not make it to the Final Four in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. They reached the Elite Eight but were defeated by the Texas Longhorns, who advanced to the Final Four.
Former Angel Reese Teammate Predicted for Chicago Sky Draft
Can Angel Reese and TCU Horned Frogs star Hailey Van Lith be teammates in the WNBA? If one mock draft would be believed, there are chances that the young point guard could be part of the first-round picks, and land on the Chicago Sky.

A mock draft by Bleacher Report ranked top picks from women’s college basketball now, and Hailey Van Lith is predicted to be part of the first round.
“The Big 12 Player of the Year has reemerged as one of the country’s elite playmakers after transferring to TCU and leading the Horned Frogs to their first-ever Big 12 regular-season and tournament titles,” the mock draft report mentioned.
“Van Lith’s stock has been on the rise all season after playing in a pro pick-and-roll system that has showcased her abilities like we haven’t seen before. She earned a bronze medal in the Olympics this past summer while competing in 3×3—an experience that greatly enhanced her read-and-react decision-making in tight spaces and playing with a faster pace.”

Angel Reese played a critical role in the 2023 championship of the LSU Tigers. During her rookie season in the WNBA, she averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
