Angel Reese, Chicago Sky star, is counting down the days until the team’s training camp kicks off. The training camp in preparation for the upcoming WNBA season will commence for the Chicago Sky squad this weekend, and Reese shared a selfie on Instagram about her building excitement to meet and train with her teammates.

Reese made her debut in the WNBA in the previous season with the Chicago Sky who selected her as the seventh overall pick in the very first round of the 2024 draft. Before that, the 22-year-old power forward split her college basketball career between the Maryland Terrapins and the LSU Tigers. In the 2024 WNBA season, the Chicago Sky team finished tenth overall, and will be eager to improve their record in the upcoming year.

“T-minus 5 days until training camp. Can’t wait to get back to Chicagooooo with the girliessss,” Angel Reese captioned her Instagram post about her excitement to get to the training camp with her Chicago Sky teammates.

To start off their 2025 WNBA season, the Chicago Sky will be locking horns with the Indiana Fever on May 17. The matchup is already being hailed as a very exciting one especially since Angel Reese will face-off her longtime rival, Caitlin Clark on the hardwood floor. The game will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the home of the Indiana Fever.

Angel Reese Has Huge Fan In Gabrielle Union’s Daughter, Kaavia

Angel Reese is the idol of numerous young girls and has reportedly got a major fan in Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s daughter, Kaavia. In a recent interview with People, the mother-daughter duo asked each other many questions, which spilled plenty of tea about the Wade-Union household.

When Union asked Kaavia what she likes to take from her room, her daughter coolly responded, “High Heels”. Union further clarified that Kaavia wants to be tall, just like Angel Reese. At 6’3”, Angel Reese is a pretty tall basketball player and her incredible physique gives her a superb advantage on the court.

It is not only her height that has allowed Angel Reese to become the incredible basketball player she is today. Reese is also known for her exceptional rebounding skills and is leading the WNBA in terms of offensive rebounds per game. In the 2024 WNBA season, Reese managed to score 13.6 points in each game, while grabbing a whopping 13.1 rebounds per matchup, along with 1.9 assists in every clash played.
