Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has managed to make a name for herself as a fashion icon, more than playing ball and throwing hoops in the WNBA. She would often flex her outfits and fashion styles on social media, and she did not fail to wow her fans once more during her trip to the UAE, for the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix.
During her trip to the Emirates, Reese bumped into Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and former NFL linebacker Terry Crews. The two did not let the moment go by unrecorded, and Reese posted a story on Instagram of her having a good time with Crews, with the actor giving a huge shoutout to her 4.5 million followers.
“We are here Abu Dhabi in the house,” Crews said in the story.
Angel Reese also met with one of her favorite actresses, “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson, who gave a heartwarming message to the WNBA star.
“I am so proud of you, you keep doing what you’re doing,” said Henson in the video shared by Reese on her Instagram Story. “You are a force to be reckoned with in so many ways, not just on the court, but in life.”
“I’m so happy to meet you,” GHenson added, to which Reese reacted with a giddy appreciation.
Reese captioned the video with: “Literally my fav omgggg.”
Angel Reese on The Benefits of Playing for Unrivaled
Angel Reese, along with more than 30 other female basketball players, will be joining the new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league, Unrivaled. The new league would play in time before the WNBA offseason ends and the 2025 season begins.
While WNBA Rookie of The Year Caitlin Clark chose to decline offers and invitations to join the league, Reese signed and will join others as the league opens in January 2025. In an interview with TheWAEShow, Reese described the benefits she gets for joining the league.
“For one I’m staying in the states, I don’t have to go overseas,” she said. “I’m making six figures, I’m living in Miami during my off-season. I’m playing 34 of some of the best WNBA players, being able to get better. Some of the best coaches, we got T-Spoon, we got Phil, we’ve got a lot of great coaches there. I’m excited to like really dial in and get better. Obviously the games are going to be cool and fun, but I just want to learn from the vets and stuff.”
Angel Reese will play under the Rose BC, and will play alongside Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, Brittney Sykes, Lexie Hull, and Azurá Stevens.
