Angel Reese may soon make the leap from the basketball cour to the fashion runway, as the Chicago Sky star outed her desire to be part of the prestigious Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place on October 15, and was held in Brooklyn, New York City. The glamorous event featured everything fashion, music, entertainment, and even an all-women lineup of musical talents.
As it turned out, Reese wanted to be part of this glamour, vowing that she would soon be taking participation in the event.
“I’m going to walk in a VS Fashion Show! Mark my words,” she said in a social media story she posted recently.
This was not the first time that Angel showed interest and a taste for fashion. Earlier in October, Reese, also dubbed the “Bayou Barbie”, graced the 2024 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, with wavy blonde hair and a stunning white fur coat. Fans loved her look, praising the elegant look she effortlessly pulled off.
Angel Reese on Joining “Unrivaled”
Angel Reese is one of the more than 30 women joining the new and upcoming women’s basketball league, Unrivaled. This new league will play during the offseason and will be a 3-on-3 format, with currently 36 players in the complete roster.
In an interview, Reese discussed why she chose to sign up for the new league, saying that she wished to stay in the country for the WNBA offseason.
“Being able to be in Miami from January to March, not having to go overseas,” Reese said. “Nobody wants to go overseas. A lot of us never wanna have to go overseas, but some people do have to go overseas unfortunately, so being able to make six figures within three months, being able to be housed in Miami, just being able to get better.”
The format of the new league also excites her, as it will serve as a fresh perspective from the WNBA format.
“Being able to know two great players that are starting something, I think it’s amazing,” she continued. “3-on-3 is something that I love to do, I haven’t been able to play competitively but I think I can work on some of my individual skills because 3-on-3 exposes everything. So I’m excited for it.”
Angel Reese is also enjoying her brand deals outside of playing on the court. Earlier this month, she signed a deal with sports brand Rebook, which includes a signature shoe release in 2026.
