Chicago Sky star Angel Reese had the perfect welcome for fellow LSU Tigers alumna Aneesah Morrow, who recently got drafted into the WNBA.
In a post on X, Angel Reese congratulated former LSU Tigers star Aneesah Morrow for making it to the pro league and getting drafted in the WNBA.

Aneesah Morrow had an exceptional journey during the 2024-2025 NCAA season, which served as her last college season. As she closed her NCAA journey, she opened a new one when she got drafted as the 7th overall pick by the Connecticut Sun in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
During her college career, she earned accolades such as the Katrina McClain Award for the nation’s best power forward and First Team All-SEC honors. Morrow led LSU in scoring with 18.7 points per game, while also leading the country in rebounds per game (13.5) and double-doubles (30) during her final collegiate season.

Throughout her NCAA career, Morrow consistently demonstrated her dominance on the court, finishing third in NCAA Division I history in rebounds (1,714) and second in double-doubles (104).
Angle Reese on the other hand, was also the 7th overall pick by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Known for her dominance on the court, Reese played a pivotal role in leading LSU to their first NCAA Championship in 2023.

Reese’s collegiate career was marked by her record-breaking performances, including an NCAA record of 34 double-doubles in a single season. During her two seasons at LSU, she averaged an impressive 20.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game, earning accolades such as SEC Player of the Year and First-Team All-American honors.

In an interview, Aneesah Morrow gave credit particularly to former teammate Angel Reese for her development in her tenure with the LSU Tigers.
“I was able to learn a lot, especially from being with Angel everyday in practice and seeing the media impact,” Morrow said. “Some days I would come to her and say, ‘you good?’ She let me know that the media is media–it’s not the real world; you can turn your phone off and it’s all gone.”

During her college career with LSU, Angel Reese averaged 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game across 116 games.
