Angel Reese is already known to be mainly good with rebounds, and her younger brother Julian is already shaping up to be someone similar. As Julian recently claimed, it appears that the ability to rebound runs in the family.
In one post-game interview, Angel Reese’s young brother Julian Reese opened up to reports about his rebounding achievement and related it to his older sister’s rebounding feats.
“You know, I haven’t looked at my messages yet,” Julian Reese said. “I know she’s probably going crazy on my phone still right now, but as far as like the rebounding thing, that runs in the family. I just think it’s like a heart thing.”

When asked about his feelings for their most recent game, Julian opened up with his mindset inside the court.
“Just play the game with so much intensity and just wear our feelings on our sleeves and just try to just play our hardest. And I just really didn’t want that to be our last game, so I just wanted to play really hard.”
Julian Reese recently achieved a remarkable milestone by recording his 1,000th career rebound during Maryland’s NCAA Tournament victory over Colorado State. This accomplishment places him in elite company, as he joins Len Elmore as the only players in Maryland Terrapins history to reach this milestone. Elmore, who played for Maryland from 1971 to 1974, held the record for over 50 years, making Reese’s achievement even more significant.
This achievement highlights the legacy of rebounding excellence within the Reese family, as Julian’s sister, Angel Reese, also led the WNBA in rebounding during her rookie season.

More recently, Angel Reese showcased her exceptional rebounding skills during the inaugural season of the Unrivaled 3-on-3 women’s basketball league, earning her the prestigious Defensive Player of the Year award.
Playing for Rose BC, she averaged an impressive 12.1 points per game in 14 appearances. Her dominance on the boards was a key factor in her team’s success, as she anchored the best-scoring defense in the league, allowing just 65.2 points per game.
