Chicago Sky star Angel Reese once again used her platform to spread motivation and positivity, this time by sharing something on her Instagram story.
Over at Instagram, Angel Reese shared to her story a piece of motivational quote that talked about the importance of taking the initiative in making your dreams come true.
“Girl to girl, work for what you want. Don’t wait around for a handout, else you’ll be taken advantage of. Build your own. Secure your own,” the graphic on her story read.
Reese added in her own words of motivation to her story.
Her caption read: “Take that scary step. It could change your life.”
Angel Reese has often spoken out to encourage others, including her recent bold statements about better pay for WNBA players. She recently faced backlash after making bold statements about the ongoing WNBA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations, hinting at a possible player strike if demands weren’t met.

Some critics accused her of being too aggressive in her approach, arguing that her comments could create unnecessary tension between players and the league. Others misinterpreted her remarks, falsely claiming that she was demanding NBA-level salaries, which she later clarified was not the case.
WNBA Legend Predicts Angel Reese vs Caitlin Clark Rivalry Record
In a recent episode of her podcast “A Touch More,” four-time WNBA champion Sue Bird shared her bold prediction on the much-awaited game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever, in particular, the rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.
“First, it’s the Fever versus the Chicago Sky. Wonder why they did that,” Bird said. “We have not seen Caitlin Clark play in a long time, ok? And it’s against Angel Reese. So, my guess there is we’re gonna see like 3-plus million [viewers], which I’m sure will smash some record.”

The WNBA experienced a significant viewership increase in 2024. The Fever’s win over the Sky averaged 2.25 million viewers, making it the most-watched game in 23 years and a 225% increase over a similar game in 2024. This game even peaked at 3 million viewers, supporting the idea that the WNBA has the potential to reach even higher viewership numbers.

During her rookie year, Angel Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, leading the league in total rebounds (446) and offensive rebounds (172). Reese also recorded 26 double-doubles, the most ever by a WNBA rookie, and became the first player in league history to have three consecutive games with 20+ rebounds.
