While Anthony Edwards’ ex-partner Ayesha Howard is embroiled in a legal battle with the Minnesota Timberwolves star, the musical artist and brand ambassador found herself coming to the forward/guard after a video clip started going viral on social media.
In the said clip shared by The Shade Room on Instagram, a mother shopping for shoes for her son is seen telling the kid to put back Edwards’ shoes in the shelf since “he doesn’t take care of his kids.” The mom then told her son to grab a pair of shoes by either Ja Morant or Kobe Bryant, whom she believes to be “good dads.”
Howard responded to the viral video, saying, “I’m not sure if this child knows of Anthony’s personal issues, and if he doesn’t, I think it’s unfair to take away the part of Anthony that he does admire, which is obviously his basketball talent. Anthony is a great player, but the mother is in control of what she supports from a moral woman’s standpoint.”

While that comment from Ayesha seemed to defend her ex-partner, she posted another comment that takes a hit at Edwards. She wrote, “I’m sorry I don’t know how to be bitter. I’m a positive person wholeheartedly even when someone is wrong. I really let God do the judging because the lord is in control and my lord is not [asleep]. Anthony will reap what he sow.”

Anthony Edwards wins big in legal battle against Ayesha Howard
A report by In Touch said Anthony Edwards filed a paternity lawsuit against Ayesha Howard in October 2024. The suit didn’t ask for custody of his and Ayesha’s child, Aubri Summers Howard. Instead, the Timberwolves forward/guard was allegedly fine with waiving all his custody rights and only wished to settle on a reasonable amount worth of child support.

Edwards’ legal team argued that Howard was trying to cheat the legal system by giving birth to their child in California instead of her hometown in Georgia. They claimed that she did it so she could potentially be granted more money in child support.
The judge ruled in favor of Edwards, saying that California lacks jurisdiction and the case will now be heard in Georgia, where the Timberwolves star originally filed his suit.

The story is still developing, and it will be interesting to know which between Anthony Edwards and Ayesha Howard will ultimately win the legal battle.
