Zaccharie Risacher balled out during the Atlanta Hawks’ 133-109 win against the Brooklyn Nets last night at the Barclays Center.

The Atlanta Hawks rookie swingman dropped 38 points (career-high), four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and six three-pointers on 15-for-20 shooting from the field. Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu, Terance Mann, Georges Niang, and Dyson Daniels added 24, 14, 14, 11, and 10 points.
According to Statmuse, Risacher became the second top overall pick to record at least 35 points and five three-pointers in multiple games, joining Allen Iverson, who did it in his rookie campaign in 1996-97.

The 20-year-old forward also recorded his fourth 30-point game this season, though his late-season run may not be enough to win the Rookie of the Year award.
Atlanta Hawks News: Trae Young reacts to Zaccharie Risacher’s career night vs. Brooklyn Nets
Zaccharie Risacher’s scoring outburst surprised most people, but not his Atlanta Hawks teammates. According to teammate Trae Young, he had seen this coming from the Frenchman.

“There’s a lot of guys that are tall, athletic, and skilled, but there’s not a lot that have all three combined with smartness. And he has all three. He’s young, but he’s so skilled,” Young said about Risacher via Lauren Williams of Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“He’s got the brightest future of any rookie that I’ve seen this year, and its gonna be great to see him continue to get better and get old and continue to get more,” he added.
