Patience is running thin for college basketball fans in Lawrence, Kansas following another loss for the Jayhawks program on Saturday afternoon.
Per ESPN BET, KU entered their contest against No. 10 Texas Tech as 3.5-point underdogs at their own home at Allen Fieldhouse in front of 15,300 fans.
Kansas basketball has been losing lately

The Jayhawks fell out of the Top 25 this week for the first time in four years.
February was not kind to Kansas, as the program suffered losses to Baylor, Kansas State, Utah, and a 91-57 humiliation to BYU. The Jayhawks ended their month with wins against Oklahoma State and Colorado.
However, a poor start put Kanas behind the Red Raiders 48-37 at halftime. Kansas would battle back to tie it at 73-73 with 1:47 remaining, but a three-point jumper from Darrion Williams put Texas Tech up 76-73, and KU would not score again.
With the 78-73 loss to Texas Tech, Kansas fell to 19-10 on the season and 10-8 in Big 12 play.
The win was the second all-time for the Red Raiders in Lawrence, with their first win coming in 2018.
College basketball fans suggest Bill Self should retire

Fans on social media were upset with Kansas head coach Bill Self, with many calling for the two-time NCAA champion’s ouster from Lawrence.
“These guys for Kansas so sorry they might just cause Bill Self to retire,” wrote a fan.
“Bill Self has to get fired!!!! Kansas guards are disgustingly bad,” posted another.
“Kansas guards are horrendous. Every last one of them. If the game has passed Bill Self by and this is what he thinks competent guard play looks like he should retire,” suggested a fan.
“Bill self owns all of this, absolutely awful,” argued a fan.
“Bill self should retire from coaching,” wrote a fan.
“Move on from Bill Self,” suggested another.
Self is 607-145 at Kansas. He’s led the Jayhawks to four Final Four appearances and two national titles. Kansas has not made it past the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament since 2022.
