The Boston Celtics were too trigger-happy from three-point land during their 108-105 Game 1 loss against the New York Knicks yesterday.

Boston became the first team in NBA history to attempt 60 three-pointers in a playoff game. However, they missed 45 – a playoff record for most three-point misses in a game.
Derrick White and Jayson Tatum had the most three-point attempts in Game 1, with the former going 5-for-16 and the latter going 4-for-15. Jaylen Brown only went 1-for-10 from deep, and Jrue Holiday went 2-for-7.

Overall, the Boston Celtics shot 35.1 percent from the field compared to 42.5 percent for the New York Knicks. However, they had a 59-49 advantage in the rebounding category.
Boston Celtics News: Jaylen Brown sends clear message to team after Game 1 loss
Last night’s Game 1 loss against the New York Knicks was a stinger for the Boston Celtics because they should’ve won the match. At one point, Boston led by 20 points, but they blew it.

The Boston Celtics are already used to dealing with adversity in the NBA playoffs, and Jaylen Brown said the team will bounce back in Game 2.
“We had a historic night of missed three-pointers, etc. We’ll take a look and kind of see what the energy was. In reality, you’ve almost got to have a short-term memory, throw it away, get ready for Game 2. We don’t have time to let stuff carry over,” Brown said in the postgame press conference.
