The Indiana Pacers are doing everything they could to stop the Boston Celtics from winning three straight games. However, the C’s are proving to be too much for the upstart Pacers as they failed to grab Game 3 in front of their home fans.
The Celtics just proved to be too much as Jayson Tatum proved too great of a threat for the Pacers to contain. They now face elimination against a team that seemingly had their number from the get-go.
However, one of the team’s stars shared something that would make even the most avid Boston supporter think twice. The star talked about one aspect of the Pacers’ game that proved a tough challenge even for a team that was the third-best in containing opposing offenses all season.
Jaylen Brown praises Indiana’s improved shooting vs Boston Celtics in Game 3
Jaylen Brown talked about the improved shooting the Indiana Pacers showed in Game 3 as they tried to prevent a 3-0 lead from happening. Rick Carlisle and the Pacers understood the importance of winning this game and came in intending to win.
They were red-hot on the floor, making 46 of their 91 shot attempts. Andrew Nembard took over Tyrese Haliburton’s scoring with his 32 points, with Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner pitching in 22 each.
The Pacers played so great offensively that even the Celtics’ second star had to recognize the impressive shooting streak they had that game:

If there was one thing that doomed the Pacers in Game 3, it’s their lack of effective shooting from deep. They only five of their 22 three-point attempts, but it was minuscule compared to the Boston Celtics’ 46. If some of the shots fell, we would have been looking at a 2-1 series where the Pacers would be eager to even the series.
However, there’s no use crying over spilled milk. Haliburton is still listed as questionable for Game 4, but he will likely force his way into playing. If he does suit up, he can only hope that the rest of the team would maintain their strong shooting form and extend the series by at least one game.
