Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown went to the ESPYs with his rumored girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick. He was there because the three-time NBA All-Star added another piece of silverware to his resume by winning the “Best Championship Performance” on Thursday.

The renowned annual sporting event was the perfect chance for Jaylen Brown to speak publicly of his stunning omission from Team USA, and the Boston Celtics star broke his silence but left many wondering what his comments meant.
“It feels great to have support, and one day I’ll share my story. People don’t have all the information in the world that they would like to know. It just feels great to be at the ESPYs and to be holding up the Larry O’Brien (trophy),” Brown said via Noa Dalzell of SBNation.

Despite winning the Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Finals MVP, and the Larry O’Brien trophy this season, Brown was left off the Team USA roster. He was expected to replace Kawhi Leonard, who pulled out due to injuries, but his teammate Derrick White was called instead.
Jaylen Brown theorized that he was snubbed because of his previous beef with Nike, the official outfitter of Team USA.
The Boston Celtics are well-represented in the Paris Olympics
Even if Jaylen Brown is absent, the Boston Celtics brand will be shown on the global stage anew because Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday will represent the 2024 NBA champions in Paris.

Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday are chasing their second Olympic gold medal for the United States, while White is gunning for his first.
Team USA’s title defense will start on July 28. The Americans are in Group C alongside Serbia, South Sudan, and Puerto Rico.
