Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown recently called out Dillon Brooks for his “weird” on-court antics and incessant trash talk as part of his “gimmick.”

The Houston Rockets forward has a reputation for being a pesky defender who loves to get under people’s skin, such as LeBron James, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.
“The only person who really does weird stuff and talk trash is Dillon Brooks. That’s his gimmick, though,” Brown said about Brooks on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

“Some players do whatever they need to do to stick in the league, so they talk trash, get under your skin, try to push you a little bit. All that type of stuff, he’s the only person that’s done that to me, nobody else really do that,” he added.
Boston Celtics gear up for the playoffs
Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have four games left in the 2024-25 NBA regular season, and they plan to finish strong. They have won 10 of their last 12 and will visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

With the second seed clinched, the Boston Celtics (58-20) could rest some key players in the next few days. According to the team’s latest injury report, Al Horford (knee) is ruled out against New York. Jayson Tatum (ankle), Jaylen Brown (knee), and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) are questionable to play. Jrue Holiday (shoulder) and Derrick White (toe) were given probable tags.
