Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown recently weighed in on the GOAT debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James during an episode of the Earn Your Leisure podcast.

Brown said Jordan has the edge in the debate because his overall impact on basketball transcends well beyond the court. Jordan is a huge reason basketball is the global sport and business we know today.
“The people you see in all the commercials, the people you see with the big deals and they use the machine to force them to be an undeniable star. Their talent is already there, but now they’re being globalized and pushed. The deals they actually get aren’t that lucrative, Jordan was one-of-one,” Brown explained.

“Nobody surpassed (Michael) Jordan since, not even LeBron (James). And we (are) in a whole different era. That was over 40 years ago,” he added.
Boston Celtics aim for eighth straight win
The Boston Celtics are fresh from a 132-102 win against the Phoenix Suns last Wednesday despite not having Jayson Tatum (ankle).

Kristaps Porzingis and Jaylen Brown combined for 54 points. Al Horford, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Sam Hauser added 16, 16, 16, and 11 points.
Up next for Boston is a trip to San Antonio on Saturday. The defending champions boast the best road record in the league at 30-7.
