When it was all said and done in the 2024 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics came out on of the Dallas Mavericks — and the rest of the league, for that matter. And the best player in the NBA Finals was Jaylen Brown, who has an NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award to prove it.
Jaylen Brown shares some words about Boston Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum after NBA Finals win

Brown was expected by many to win the finals MVP honor, but others thought Jaylen Tatum could have won the award. Either way, both Jays are in celebration mode, as they led the Celtics to the franchise’s first title since 2008 and the club’s 18th banner overall.
Brown also had nothing but praise for Tatum, particularly mentioning his teammate’s unselfishness in the finals.
“Jayson [Tatum] … I can’t talk enough about his selflessness,” Brown said after Game 5 (h/t Shane Young of Forbes Sports).
“I can’t talk enough about his attitude.”
Tatum did not shoot well in the finals. He averaged 22.2 points against the Mavericks while shooting just 38.8 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from behind the arc. However, he created so many scoring chances for his teammates. He led the Celtics in the finals with 7.2 assists per game. In the Celtics’ 106-88 title-clinching win on Monday, Tatum had 11 assists to go with 31 points.

As for Brown, he averaged 20.8 points on 44.0 FG%, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in the Mavs series. His best performance in the series was in Game 4 when he dropped 30 points on 12/22 shooting from the floor to go with eight assists and eight rebounds in a 106-99 win in Dallas.
