The Boston Celtics know they cannot do without Kristaps Porzingis on their roster. While the team may be a lock to make the postseason without the Latvian big man making almost half of the team’s appearances this season, his most recent achievements are a stellar reminder of why the Celtics won the 2024 title with him taking on the big man role.
One of the most impressive feats he’s achieved recently is his strong return to the lineup after being sidelined for quite some time. His play against the Brooklyn Nets made him the tenth player in league history to have at least 900 three-point shots made and 900 blocked shots.

His latest achievement puts him in another exclusive club of players. However, the big man thinks that he’s not doing nearly enough for the defending champions.
Kristaps Porzingis thinks he’s still far from his best for the Boston Celtics despite joining an exclusive club

StatMamba recently revealed in a social media post that he’s only the fourth player in NBA history to have back-to-back games with 25+ points and 10+ rebounds while playing less than 30 minutes.
The feat in itself is incredible as there have been many fantastic players who could have done it. However, KP thinks that he’s still not playing his best basketball so far.
He talked about his thoughts in the post-game interview of the C’s 121-99 win against the Utah Jazz, as posted by Bobby Krivitsky:
“Honestly, I don’t know because I’m not feeling my best. Maybe trying to create a bit more and that kind of leads to more opportunities… Things are just clicking and trying to play free and selfless.”
KP had a fantastic game in the two games he’s played since returning for Boston, averaging 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks in the two games he’s played since then. While it’s not ideal that he had to miss plenty of games before he became available again, the timing of his sudden rise in form bodes well for the team’s postseason hopes.

Celtics fans will be hoping that their big man will be able to keep these numbers up as the postseason looms closer.
