The Boston Celtics are gunning for a 3-0 series lead when they face the Orlando Magic in Game 3 at Kia Center, but they may have to do it without their two key starters.

According to SB Nation’s Noa Dalzell, Jayson Tatum, who missed Game 2, remains doubtful with his wrist injury, while Jrue Holiday is the latest addition to the injury list with a strained hamstring.
Tatum sustained his wrist injury in Game 1 after Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s hard foul on a dunk attempt. Meanwhile, Holiday’s questionable tag is surprising since he looked good in Games 1 and 2.

Al Horford has started in Tatum’s place in Game 2 and may continue to do so in Game 3, while Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will likely play more if the team rules out Holiday.
Boston Celtics News: Jaylen Brown explains his approach without Jayson Tatum
Jaylen Brown had to take over for the Boston Celtics with Jayson Tatum sidelined for Game 2. The 2024 Finals MVP did just that, putting up 36 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five three-pointers on 12-for-19 shooting from the field in the 109-100 victory.

“Obviously, JT is the offensive leader of our team,” Brown said via ClutchPoints’ Daniel Donabedian. “But any given night, I can rise to the occasion. I just do what the team needs me to do. I’ve taken that mentality, and I think sometimes people think that’s like the only thing you can do.
Brown received support from his teammates, as Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and Jrue Holiday added 20, 17, 14, and 11 points.
