LeBron James and Bronny James are set to make history as they could become the first father-and-son duo to end up as NBA teammates.
In a rare feat for a second-round pick, LeBron Jr., also known as Bronny James, signed a four-year guaranteed contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, which means he is expected to make their opening night roster, joining LeBron Sr.
However, when asked by reporters right after his team’s NBA Summer League game against the Atlanta Hawks at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas Wednesday night, Bronny James has one thing he looks forward to the most when he joins his father in the Lakers’ main squad.“Going against each other in practice,” Bronny said.

LeBron Jr., though, could be in for a tough job when he matches up against LeBron Sr. in intra-team scrimmages.

For one, Daddy LeBron is seven inches taller and way stronger than Bronny, and the latter plays more of a combo guard while the former plays forward.
Another thing, LeBron Sr., although already showing signs that he is not getting anymore younger, seems to be still playing as if he is still at his prime as he turns 40 this December.
So much pressure is on Bronny on how to guard his dad, not in a usual father-and-son backyard shootaround but in a serious setup like team practices.

Bronny James finally shows up
Bronny James’ first step of transition from playing college ball at the University of Southern California to the pro ranks has been topsy-turvy.
James began his stint in the NBA Summer League with numbers that make everyone wonder why he is still getting a lot of media attention.
However, on Wednesday night, James put up his best performance so far in the off-season mini-league.
LeBron Jr. finished with 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting, one rebound, and one steal in 23 and a half minutes as a starter for the Lakers against the Hawks.
After bricking his first 15 attempts in the Las Vegas Summer League, James finally hit a three-pointer just before halftime.
However, his biggest shot came with 3:47 left in the fourth quarter when he hit his second triple that tied the game at 79-all, eventually paving the way for the Lakers to beat the Hawks, 87-86.
This is the Lakers’ first win in this year’s Summer League season after back-to-back losses to begin their stint in Vegas and a dismal 0-3 record in the California Classic.
