The performance of Bronny James in the current NBA Summer League has caught the public’s attention The Lakers are focusing on Lebron’s son to perform well in the upcoming NBA season. Bronny’s other teammates, though, feel that he is getting all the attention.
Paul Pierce is confident that the Lakers’ “special treatment” of Bronny James has a real reason behind it. In his interview with UNDISPUTED, Pierce defended the former USC player from the allegations of his teammates:
“First of all, Bronny got drafted…they developing the draft picks [no drafted players] are here for what they call seat fillers…these are seat fillers talking. He is drafted, of course, they are gonna cater more to him, do more for him, connect because he was drafted.”

For the 2008 NBA champion, Bronny James’ teammates couldn’t understand why his team was focused entirely on him rather than the others. After all, Bronny James is still drafted into the NBA, even though he’s 55th overall. Paul said the rest of the Lakers should understand that the 19-year-old Sierra alumni is just preparing for the actual season, and the Summer League is a great chance to improve his ball play.
According to an insider, recently, Bronny’s teammates in the Summer League expressed disappointment in him and the team. These tensions caused tensions on the roster, hindering the maintenance of excellent chemistry. Given the Lakers’ inadequate performance in the Summer League, there was no unity between them.

Aside from that, Bronny James is a drafted NBA player while his teammates aren’t; he is everyone’s sole focus. From the mainstream media to the common folk, everyone expects Lebron Jr. to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father.
Many people watch Bronny’s performances in the league. They overlook that it isn’t just him who contributes to the team. His teammate, Dalton Knecht, is the only one who played more games than James. Knecht has the highest point average in the league, averaging 21.3 points per game. Meanwhile, the 55th overall pick in the last NBA season faces pressure from the people.
For others, Bronny isn’t just ready to play for the NBA. It doesn’t mean he’s Lebron’s son; he is also a prodigy, like his father. During the league, he only averaged 8.8 points per game and shot terrible three-point shots.
