Bronny James has a long line of critics and doubters, but he also has a list of supporters and people who have acknowledged the improvement in his journey as a young athlete. For one, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas thinks the young James is a dominating force in the G League.
In one of the recent episodes of the “Gil’s Arena” podcast, Gilbert Arenas praised Bronny James for how he has been performing in the G League so far, so much so that he thinks that the G League is Bronny’s league.
“They should name the G-League Bronny League because he’s f****** them up,” Arenas said. “He is really dominating.”
“Why people got Tubi?! Bronny.” 🤣💀

Since joining the Los Angeles Lakers, Bronny James has been subjected to intense scrutiny. Critics have questioned his skills, readiness, and whether he truly earned his place on the team or if he was simply given a spot due to his famous father. The pressure is heightened by playing for a high-profile team like the Lakers, where every action is analyzed and scrutinized.
His unexpected decision to enter the 2024 NBA Draft after an unremarkable college career surprised many, particularly when he was selected in the second round—a round typically reserved for players who need further development.

Lately, the young James has gradually silenced many of his critics through his impressive performances in the G League. His scoring ability has been a standout, with career-high performances like a 39-point explosion for the South Bay Lakers. His shooting accuracy has improved, hitting 46% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc, while his defensive contributions, including 2.0 steals per game, have solidified his reputation as a well-rounded player.

Critics who once dismissed him as a “nepo baby” have softened their stance as Bronny continues to demonstrate his dedication and growth. His ability to adapt and thrive in the G League has earned him respect, with analysts acknowledging his potential as a legitimate NBA prospect.
Charles Barkley Thinks Bronny James “Should be in The G League”
While he believes that Bronny James has improved and has been working hard, former NBA legend and analyst Charles Barkley still thinks that his place remains to be in the minor league.
“That kid, I wish him nothing but the best, he should be in the G-League getting better as a player,” said Barkley on The Dan Patrick Show. “He should have been in the G-League all year. You don’t get better sitting on the bench.”
“I think it was a great story for them to go on the court together, but he should be in the G League. You don’t get better sitting on the bench.”
