The Brooklyn Nets are not shopping Ben Simmons in the trade market this summer — at least as far as we know. The harsh reality for them is that even if they wanted to, it isn’t likely that the Nets will be able to find a viable trade offer for the former Rookie of the Year out there.
One team that had interest in Simmons, though, is the Golden State Warriors. The catch, however, is that this was at least two years ago.
Brooklyn Nets News: Golden State Warriors Wanted Ben Simmons

According to a recent report by NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, the Dubs wanted to trade for Simmons. This was, however, during his spell with the Philadelphia 76ers, when the three-time All-Star was still a dominant force in the league:
“Warriors were interested in Ben Simmons heavily when he was a 76er. Now a member of the Brooklyn Nets. I asked someone in the know on the Nets side about Bklyn trading Ben Simmons & they said ‘It’s hard to.’
“They shared: Teams are not feeling having to pay him $30 Million-plus and said currently don’t see it happening,'” Robinson reported on X, formerly Twitter.
Even the Nets know that Simmons currently holds very little value and that it would not make sense for them to trade him now for pennies.

Everything could change for Simmons this coming season, though. So long as he’s healthy, the 27-year-old could potentially re-establish himself as one of the best defensive guards in the league, thereby resurrecting his career, which has been mired by injuries (and a lot of drama) over the past few years.
Who knows, perhaps the Warriors would be willing to revisit their interest in Simmons after a bounce-back campaign.
