Many Milwaukee Bucks fans believe they would not have the problem they are facing right now if not for Khris Middleton injury.
It is a long season so there’s still time to recover for the disappointing Bucks. The question is when will the three-time All-Star return?
Head coach Doc Rivers does not have an answer.
“I do not know the answer to that. That’s a good question I can’t answer,” he told The Athletic when asked if Middleton is day-to-day or week-to-week.
The Bucks are 1-6 and they need help. Reporter Eric Nehm pressed Rivers about how the team perceives Middleton’s absence and the coach said that his teammates are waiting patiently for him.
The 33-year-old mid-range god is also working hard to be able to return soon.
“He’s working his butt off. As a coach that’s all you can ask for. So there’s no frustration in him. You’d love to be healthy. We knew before the season started the first 10 games, we played two home games,” Rivers explained.
“You could see it coming. We were hopeful we we’re going to be healthy, but we’re not and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Fans’ impatience is understandable as they already have two of the Top 10 scorers in the league right now. Their 1-6 is the third worst in team history but first two happened – the 1993-94 team that went 1-10 and the 1974-75 team that began at 1-11 – are developmental teams.
They are hoping for a comeback by Middleton and the latest news suggested he is close to returning.
In November 4, he said that he felt good but he is still not suiting up as he is does not feel good enough to play yet.
In October 22, Rivers said that “if this is the playoff game, he’d be playing” which prompted fans to celebrate.
However, his status became unclear when the coach revealed that he is not playing in 5-on-5 scrimmage anymore.
The latest about Middleton’s availability, according to the Bucks, is that he is now joining shootaround.
