Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons point guard, should be considered for MVP according to an NBA insider. While the Pistons themselves might not be the best team there is in the NBA today, Cunningham surely brings some relief to the squad. In the ongoing NBA season, Cunningham is averaging 24.5 points in each game, grabbing 6.5 rebounds and assisting 9.3 times in every matchup played.
ESPN writer Marc J. Spears, discussed the same on ‘NBA Today’ citing that while Cunningham might indeed be an underdog, he definitely needs to be considered for MVP this season. The 23-year-old joined the Detroit Pistons team back in 2021 after being picked as the 1st overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft.
“Can we start talking about this kid for like, MVP considerations? What he’s done with this team? Come on man, Motorcade. I’m not saying he’s gonna win but put him into consideration.” Marc J. Spears said on ‘NBA Today’.

In that game, Cunningham scored a brilliant 32 points, grabbing nine rebounds and assisting seven times. Next up, the Detroit Pistons will play against the Atlanta Hawks.

Cade Cunningham Quizzed About Rivalry With Jalen Green
Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green have always been pitted against each other, and quite recently, the Detroit Pistons star was quizzed about the same. In a recent appearance on TNT’s NBA program, Cunningham made it clear that Jalen Green and himself have always been matched up against each other ever since high school, whether they liked it or not.

Apparently, Cunningham and Green like the head-butting, remarking that it actually boosts their performance in games. In their most recent matchup, Detroit’s Cade Cunningham put up 32 points in total, while Jalen Green scored 19 points in the losing effort for the Houston Rockets.
While Cunningham concluded that there was nothing heated about his relationship, Shaquille O’ Neal did not seem to agree totally with the player. According to Shaq, Cunningham just managed to give a ‘corporate answer’ and that there was surely some conflict brewing between the two talented players. While Cade Cunningham is averaging about 24.5 points in each game, Jalen Green is scoring an average of 21.5 points in every matchup played.
