It’s no shock that even players from the NBA would be fans of WNBA reigning Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark. For one member of the Philadelphia 76ers, Clark is on the top of his list of female basketball players he looks up to.
In light of March being International Women’s Month, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain was asked in a spot interview about women he looks up to. Naturally, he placed his mother on top of the list. However, when it comes to an athlete, his easy answer was Caitlin Clark.
“For the basketball space, it’s easy,” he said. “Caitlin Clark. I’ve got a signed jersey of hers, I’m excited to see where her career goes.”

Caitlin Clark has revolutionized the WNBA in numerous ways—she has significantly impacted viewership, ticket sales, merchandise sales, and overall revenue. Fans have been eager to watch her play, both on television and in person, which often resulted in sold-out arenas and increased ticket sales. For instance, the Las Vegas Aces had to move a game to a larger venue to accommodate the influx of fans wanting to see Clark in action.
Clark’s popularity also boosted merchandise sales. Her jerseys and other related merchandise have become highly sought after, with fans eager to show their support for the rising star. This surge in merchandise sales has contributed to the WNBA’s overall revenue growth, as Clark’s popularity continues to drive demand for league-related products.
Clark was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, receiving 66 out of 67 votes. She was also made the All-WNBA First Team and was the league’s assist leader, earning the WNBA Peak Performer Award. Additionally, she was unanimously selected for the AP Rookie of the Year, AP All-Rookie First Team, and AP All-WNBA First Team.
Caitlin Clark Wows Fans With Muscular Biceps
While it is expected of an athlete to work out and spend time in the gym, Caitlin Clark shocked fans when a photo of her was taken and her arms were seen to be considerably bigger and more muscular than how it looked in the past.
“She’s gonna be overthrowing some of those long passes and those logo 3s might be from past half court now 🤣👀🙌,” one fan said.
“Skipped Unrivaled to apparently Hulk out all offseason. She ain’t f*****g around,” commented another.
Caitlin Clark continues to enjoy her offseason and prepare for the tip-off of the 2025 WNBA season where she will return to play for the Indiana Fever.
