Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has taken her admiration for golf to another level this offseason as she’s been seen on the greens plenty of times. And with her admiration comes another level of appreciation for the pro golfers. On Wednesday, Clark shared her thoughts on Rory McIlroy’s emotional Masters win.
The Fever guard reposted McIlroy’s X (formerly Twitter) post on her handle, saying, “This is incredible. Chills”

McIlroy’s post featured a video montage of his journey to becoming the only sixth man to complete a career grand slam. It showed his failures and successes at the Masters and other tournaments.
Clark’s admiration for Rory McIlroy was evident after she saw the video. During the offseason, the Fever guard participated in the Annika pro-am, where she played against world number one Nelly Korda and ten-time major champion Annika Sorenstam.

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year took her love for the sport even further this year, as she attended this year’s Masters at the Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia to witness the competition and soak in the atmosphere. Caitlin Clark will be back on the court on May 17, as she welcomes Hailey Van Lith’s Chicago Sky on opening day.

The offseason was all about relaxation and golfing for Caitlin Clark, as she’s participated in plenty of tournaments and has been following the latest in golf.
In her appearance on Under the Umbrella show presented by the Masters, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year revealed what she liked the most about the tournament, which made it special.
The Masters implement a strict “no-phone” policy among the fans, where they have to check in their phones first before they are allowed access to the grounds, which Clark pointed out makes the best tournament she’s attended.
“Not having a phone is so unique,” Clark said. “Everyone there is so invested, and they’re just there to watch the greatness of the athletes. They feel a different level of engagement from the fans. You’re really just living in the moment. As a professional athlete, you can empathize with that. I think that’s really cool.”

During the interview as well, the Fever guard predicted that Rory McIlroy could win the tournament, which he ended up doing. However, Clark also said she’s been rooting for Ludwiig Aberg.
