Caitlin Clark had closely supported Tyrese Haliburton’s playoff run this season. Both players share the reputation of bringing the highlight to Indiana basketball, although the latter made things more intense with his clutch shots. Clark revealed her reactions to Haliburton’s game-winning performances on Friday, although she made something clear about it.

On ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne, Clark revealed that while she was on a road match in Atlanta, she recorded herself when she saw Haliburton’s clutch three that sent the Pacers to overtime in their first match against the New York Knicks, eventually leading to Indiana’s victory, 138-135. However, the former Iowa said she won’t make the clip public soon.

“I have a video on my phone I’m never going to show anybody. I videotaped myself, like, the final play and I have my reaction in real time. It’s a pretty iconic video. Maybe one day everybody will see it, but no, not right now. … I cuss way too much in [the video],” Clark said.

Caitlin Clark also shared how she captured her reactions to Haliburton’s clutch antics for a future project. However, she hadn’t got a clip of herself when the Pacers All-Star shot a buzzer-beater with 0.3 seconds remaining against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Game 1.

“I was on FaceTime with [teammates] Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull the whole game,” Clark added. “But at the end, I was like, ‘I got to get off FaceTime, I have to watch this. I can’t focus on both.'”

Haliburton and the Pacers this season gained notoriety for upsetting high-ranked teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Knicks. Caitlin Clark, alongside teammates Cunningham and Hull, had become constant spectators on Indiana’s games.

Caitlin Clark reveals long-term plans at Indiana

In ESPN Ramona Shelbourne’s article on Friday, Caitlin Clark, the face of the Indiana Fever, revealed that she had no plans to leave the team soon.

“Ty and I would both tell you this is where we both hope to stay the rest of our careers,” Clark said. “People are like, ‘It’s a small market.’ But no, that’s what makes it fun.”

“These people, this is what means the world to them. We haven’t hosted a Finals game in 25 years, and I’ve never seen this type of excitement. People are lining up three hours before the game. I literally just got the chills thinking about it.”

Moreover, Caitlin Clark felt fortunate to play for Indiana, highlighting how the basketball world at the state is different from any other.
