Caitlin Clark is undeniably one of the best WNBA players of her time. Her exceptional skills on the court have given her a swift rise in the league, and she continues to get better. While Clarke is gearing up for the next season, the league’s top prospect, Paige Bueckers, won the Championship for the UConn Huskies.
Bueckers and the Huskies had a great run throughout the tournament. They were undefeated in the Big East Conference and dropped only three of 40 overall games. The Championship final against the South Carolina Gamecocks was an easy play for Bueckers and her team. Their offense opened up and scored 82 points, restricting the Gamecocks to only 59.
Bueckers created history, and she has something to her name that Caitlin Clarke will never have a championship title. Bueckers has a large fanbase, and so does Clarke. After Bueckers’ success, Clark’s fans were slammed by a former NBA player.
Michael Jordan’s teammate, Ethan Thomas, slammed Clark’s fan,s saying she didn’t do what Bueckers did. Thomas believes that Bueckers is not recognized as much as Clarke despite winning the championship.
“So when I asked why #PaigeBueckers doesn’t get the fawning over like #CaitlinClark many responded that she just wasn’t as good & not a ‘generational talent.’ Well now she won a championship something Caitlin Clark didn’t do. So, y’all still stand by that or is it something else ?” Thomas wrote on X.

Caitlin Clarke Feels Paige Bueckers Will Fit Perfectly Well With The Dallas Wings
Bueckers is going to the big leagues as the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2025. The Huskies star is expected to join the Dallas Wings, which is Clarke’s rival. The Indiana Fever guard thinks that Bueckers will be a perfect fit with the Dallas Wings.
“I think she’ll honestly fit right in. College Park Center is fun to play in, too. It’s a small place, it’s loud. “You know honestly, they should move every game to American Airlines because I think Paige has that type of draw. She’ll be able to bring those types of fans in,” Caitlin Clark said.
As for Bueckers, she has a bright future ahead in the WNBA. She made it to the Final Four with the Huskies four times and finally achieved her dream by winning the championship title. Bueckers returned to the Huskies for one last time instead of choosing the 2023 WNBA draft.
