Caitlin Clark finally addressed the viral photo of her showing larger arms and a more muscular build, something she admitted she has been working on a lot during the offseason.

During a recent interview, Caitlin Clark talked about her viral moment earlier this year, where she wowed fans with her bigger, bulkier arms. She credited her trainer and expressed the efforts she made in improving her physical attributes.

“That was my biggest focus on the offseason, just trying to get stronger and really working on that,” Clark said. “Really thankful for Sarah, our strength and conditioning coach, she’s put in a lot of time with me.”

“I certainly feel a lot stronger, and you know I’m a pretty self-aware person. I knew that was going to be a huge part of it. And I hope it helps me offensively and defensively. Hopefully it helps me not get as tired throughout games…”

Caitlin Clark’s viral photo showcasing her impressively muscular arms took social media by storm earlier this year. Fans were quick to react, with comments ranging from admiration for her dedication to playful remarks about her “tickets to the gun show.”

Caitlin Clark worked closely with the Indiana Fever’s strength and conditioning coach, Sarah Kessler, to achieve this transformation. Her focus on increasing muscle mass was a response to the aggressive play she faced during her rookie season, including flagrant fouls.

WNBA Commissioner Talks Physicality Around Caitlin Clark During Rookie Season

In her recent appearance on “The David Rubenstein Show,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert talked about the increased physicality that Caitlin Clark experienced in her rookie season, which became a topic for analysts and fans alike.

“I think that narrative became the narrative,” Engelbert said. “We have a really exciting, fast-paced, physical game. The physicality, I think, surprised a lot of the new fans that came in.”

“I think it was very physical at first for a lot of new eyes on the game. I think there were, unfortunately, some inappropriate plays that happened. Over the course of the whole season, I think Caitlin really adjusted well. So did Angel, because Angel, it was very physical for her too.”

“I think all of our rookies adjusted to the physicality of the game, and I think our fans didn’t adjust as quickly.”

During her rookie season, Caitlin Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game. She showcased her versatility on both ends of the court, recording 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks per game, while maintaining shooting efficiency with 41.7% from the field, 34.4% from three-point range, and 90.6% from the free-throw line.
