2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark was spotted at the preseason game between the Indiana Pacers and the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. She was seen sitting on the sidelines with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery and Indiana Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell.
The Fever’s playoff season ended early as they were defeated by the Connecticut Sun in a best-of-three series clean sweep in the opening round. Despite the disappointing early exit, the Fever teammates decided to make the most of their off time instead, bonding while cheering for their NBA counterparts.
Caitlin Clark had an outstanding rookie season in Indiana. She entertained fans with her intelligent plays during her debut. She finished first WNBA season averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists, earning an All-Star selection and the ROTY award

Likewise, Kelsey Mitchell also had a great season with the Fever. She became a two-time All-Star, averaging 19.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists during the season. She also finished top ten in the MVP selection.

Breanna Stewart made to pick between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese
In the entirety of her rookie season, Caitlin Clark was compared to fellow rookie Angel Reese. They have been rivals since college, and it carried over to the professional league, beginning with the 2024 WNBA Draft. Their fans have been pitting them against each other, debating over which between them is the superior player.
Recently, New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart was asked who between Clark and Reese is the better player. During an interview with MARCA, Stewart didn’t seem to want to pick a side.

“I mean, it’s not an either-or with Angel or Caitlin,” the six-time WNBA All-Star said. “They both came into the league this year and did great things. Angel being atop the rebound leaders for the entire season. Caitlin, the assists.”
She added, “And not only their impact on the court but also the presence that they have off. The fans that they are continuing to bring in. It’s been exciting to see, and I know they are only going to continue to grow.”
In what seemed like a brief moment of respite, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were selected to be part of Team WNBA, teamed up together for the first time against Stewart and Team USA in July’s All-Star game. Team WNBA triumphed over the American representatives to the Olympics, 117-109.
The current stars in the league are optimistic that both rookies will grow to become top stars in the future.
