In her recent sit-down interview, Caitlin Clark opened up about her court vision, one of the many charateristics she is often praised for.
In her guest appearance for an episode of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” on Netflix, Caitlin Clark talked about her court vision, and attroibuted it to her ability to anticipate the outcome of things.
“I would say it’s just my IQ,” Clark said about the topic. “I feel like I can see things that are about to happen on the basketball court before they happen.”
“Honestly, I feel like that’s kind of a lost art at times,” she added. “Obviously there’s a lot of great passers still, [and] plenty in the NBA.”
Caitlin Clark has been widely praised for her exceptional court vision, a skill that sets her apart as one of the most dynamic playmakers in basketball. Her ability to anticipate plays and deliver pinpoint passes has earned her comparisons to some of the greatest passers in the sport.
Legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski, for instance, highlighted her passing as her standout skill, noting that she “sees things that most players do not see” and consistently makes her teammates better.

Her extraordinary skills have led to remarkable achievements, such as leading the WNBA in assists during her rookie season and setting a new single-game assist record of 19.
Clark also talked about the topic of basketball evolution. She admitted that the sport has changed throughout the decades and will continue to do so.
“The game evolves nonstop,” she said. “It’s not the same as when Magic and Larry played. It’s not the same as when MJ played. It’s just so much different, and that’s what so beautiful about it. That’s what makes it fun.”
Caitlin Clark Talks Bond and Chemistry With Fever Teammate
In the same interview, Caitlin Clark opened to show host David Letterman about her special bond with teammate Aliyah Boston.
“Aliyah Boston has been great to play with,” Clark said. “Your point guard-post combination, that’s important. I think our chemistry grew so much over the course of the year and it only will continue to grow.”

Aliyah Boston was drafted by the Indiana Fever as the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft. Caitlin Clark followed as the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, also selected by the Fever. Both players have become cornerstone talents for the team, helping to revitalize the franchise.

The Indiana Fever made significant moves during the 2025 WNBA offseason to strengthen their roster and build around their star players, Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. These additions include DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, and Brianna Turner.
