Caitlin Clark has received plenty of hate, along with the numerous compliments and appreciation for her contribution to women’s basketball. While Clark has never openly reacted to any troll or criticism of her abilities on social media, her fans have often stood up for her against those who have hated on her.
Recently, Jemele Hill, sports writer, has come under fire for apparently criticizing Caitlin Clark, and instead praising her WNBA counterpart, Angel Reese above her. In one of her latest posts, Hill brought up the topic of double standards between the NBA and the WNBA.
She went on to remark that certain topics in the WNBA are considered to be mere ‘drama’ but are taken more seriously in terms of the NBA. Out of nowhere, a fan criticized Hill for picking Reese over Clark, and the renowned journalist was having none of that.
“Remember when you said Angel Reese was better than the white girl you hate? Hilarious.” social media user @GreatWhite85 tweeted on X.

“Really? Hmm. Why don’t you pull the receipt on that? Show me any tweet where I said that.” Jemele Hill clapped back at the user through her X account.

The Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark rivalry started long before the two basketball powerhouses set foot in the WNBA. While neither player has openly addressed it and seem to take it in sportsmanlike behavior, the rivalry is still continuing to provide drama and excitement to an already adrenaline-filled WNBA league.

Caitlin Clark’s Rookie Card Sold For $366,000, Shatters Serena Williams’ Record
Not only Caitlin Clark, but even her trading card seems to be unstoppable just like herself. Clark’s trading card sold for an astounding $366,000 on Saturday, beating Serena Williams’ record. Williams’ card was nothing close to Clark’s score. The number makes Caitlin Clark to have the most expensive female athlete card sold in history.

Back in 2022, Serena Williams’ card sold for $266,400, making it the most expensive women’s athlete card of that time. Along with the card, the buyer also received a tennis outfit which Williams had worn in a particular match.

Currently, Caitlin Clark is getting ready for the upcoming WNBA season which will kick off in May. Clark will be once again headlining for the Indiana Fever team, which is expected to do better in this season after making several changes to their squad over the offseason. Clark and the Fever are already being noted as favorites to win this year’s WNBA championship.
