Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark once again made clear what her goal is for the 2025 WNBA season. Going in the same direction as the recent Fever campaign, Clark once again reiterated what she is gunning for this season: a championship.
In an interview following their blowout win in their preseason game against the Brazil National Team, Caitlin Clark reiterated that she and the Fever are focused on getting a championship for this season.
“Yeah, a championship, that’s our goal,” Clark said. “It’s going to take a lot of hard work and we’ve got a new team. It’s going to take some time to put it together, but I think everybody’s thankful we got some really great vets that have won (WNBA championship) before, and then we got some people back.”
“Should be a great season,” she added.

The Indiana Fever dominated their preseason matchup against the Brazil National Team with a 108-44 victory in Iowa City, marking Caitlin Clark’s return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Clark wasted no time making an impact, scoring the first points of the game with a three-pointer just 32 seconds into the first quarter.
The Fever set the tone early, hitting back-to-back threes from Clark and Kelsey Mitchell within the first 45 seconds.

DeWanna Bonner Expresses Gratitude to Caitlin Clark, Fever Big 3
In another interview, Fever’s new teammate and WNBA veteran DeWanna Bonner shared the warm welcome she got from Caitlin Clark, and the two other members of the Big 3 of the Fever.
“I talked to Caitlin, [Aliyah Boston], and [Kelsey Mitchell] and they made me feel like they really needed me here,” Bonner said. “At this point in my career, I have so much knowledge, so why not give it to some young ones before I leave out?”

DeWanna Bonner, a 16-year WNBA veteran, was drafted fifth overall by the Phoenix Mercury in 2009. During her ten seasons with the Mercury, she secured championships in 2009 and 2014. In 2020, Bonner was traded to the Connecticut Sun, where she played for five years.
A six-time All-Star, Bonner reached fourth place on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list, passing Tamika Catchings. In 2025, she signed with the Indiana Fever as a free agent, reuniting with former Connecticut coach Stephanie White.

In a previous statement, Caitlin Clark also made a statement of wanting to win a championship and dedicating it to Bonner, highlighting her high regard for her veteran experience and leadership as the main reasons.
