Caitlin Clark is not short on people adding fire to the Indiana Fever hype. Recently, Patrick McCaffery, brother of her fiancé
Connor McCaffery, reposted her bold prediction of a championship on social media.
When asked about what success with the Indiana Fever looks like for Caitlin Clark, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year only had one simple answer: a championship. Her fiance’s brother, Patrick McCaffery, shared this exciting statement on his Instagram story.
“Man, what y’all know about that fevvvvv showwwwww!!!.” McCaffrey wrote.
Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery have built a strong relationship, supporting each other both personally and professionally. They met at the University of Iowa, where Clark was a basketball star and McCaffery played for the Hawkeyes before transitioning into coaching. Their relationship became public in August 2023, and since then, they have consistently shown their admiration for one another.
Caitlin Clark has been a vocal supporter of McCaffery’s coaching career, attending his games at Butler University and celebrating his milestones. She was present at his coaching debut in November 2024 and has been spotted cheering for Butler throughout the season.

McCaffery, in turn, has been a constant presence at Clark’s games, including her farewell NCAA championship game and her WNBA draft night. Their mutual encouragement extends to social media, where they frequently post heartfelt tributes to each other.

The Indiana Fever are entering the 2025 WNBA season with championship aspirations, fueled by a mix of young talent and experienced veterans. Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston form the core of the team, with Clark coming off a stellar rookie season where she led the Fever back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Caitlin Clark Wants to Win a Championship for Veteran Teammate
Caitlin Clark has her eyes set on a championship for the 2025 season, and it seems that she has one teammate in particular whom she wants to win the championship for. In an interview, ClArk admitted that she wanted to help give new teammate DeWanna Bonner another championship to add to her belt.
“She’s such a selfless leader,” Clark said. “She’s here to win. She says that, but she really means it,” Clark said of Bonner. “DB’s been tremendous, not only as a leader, she’s a tremendous basketball player, too. She’s won championships. She knows what it is.”
“For me as a second-year point guard, I want to win for her. This is the end of her career, she deserves it.”
