Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams saw it coming before it even happened. With Caitlin Clark returning to the Indiana Fever after a two-week break due to a left quad strain, Williams just knew the rookie sensation was about to make noise.
Clark had missed five games, and the Fever were coming off a tough 77–58 loss to the Atlanta Dream. But once Clark was back on the floor? Everything shifted.
“Caitlin Clark make them girls different,” Williams said on a livestream. “I ain’t gonna lie, Sabrina was cooking, but Caitlin was cooking, bro!”
She doubled down, urging folks to look at the numbers. “Go look at her stat line, bro. When I was in the chat and said Caitlin made them girls different, y’all was in the chat hating.”
Well, the numbers didn’t lie.

Caitlin Clark dropped 32 points in a statement win over the previously undefeated New York Liberty. She went 11-of-20 from the field, drained 7 threes—including a logo shot—and flat-out stole the show in her duel with Sabrina Ionescu, who had 34 points of her own.
The Fever walked away with a massive 102–88 win and improved to 5–5 on the season. With Clark back healthy and hooping like this, Indiana might just be turning into a real playoff threat.
“I Felt Good”: Caitlin Clark Shines Bright in Comeback Game Against Liberty
Even while sidelined, Caitlin Clark was all in—locked in on the bench, encouraging her teammates, still doing her part.
So when she finally returned Saturday against the Liberty, she didn’t just show up—she went off.

In her first game back, Clark looked refreshed and ready, lighting up the Liberty in front of a hyped home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The 2024 Rookie of the Year wasn’t just scoring—she was controlling the game, setting the tone, and playing with the kind of swagger that got everyone talking.
After the game, she kept it humble but confident.
“I felt good,” Clark told reporters. “I thought my rotations were good. Steph [White] got me a couple of breathers. But I felt strong, I felt good. I thought we played a good game. There’s a lot we can still improve on, which is really positive for us.”

That part about improvement? She meant it. Before her injury, Clark was struggling from deep—just 2-for-17 from beyond the arc at one point. But against the Liberty, she found her rhythm and reminded the world why she’s called a generational talent.
With Caitlin Clark fully back and heating up, the Fever’s future looks really bright.
