Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever has brought in WNBA veteran Sydney Colson to create a more experienced roster for this season. In a recent interview with the press, Indiana’s GM, Amber Cox, surely seems excited about bringing Colson to the team for the upcoming WNBA season, which will kick off in May.
Sydney Colson has been playing in the WNBA since 2011, starting off with the New York Liberty. Colson was actually selected by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA draft as the 16th overall pick in the second round, but went to New York eventually. In the previous season, Colson played for the Las Vegas Aces, where she averaged 2.5 points per game, with 0.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in every matchup played.
“I think she’s going to bring a lot of joy to our lives this season.” Indiana Fever GM & COO Amber Cox said about Sydney Colson to press reporters.
Of course, the Indiana Fever team will be heavily relying on Caitlin Clark’s incredible hooping skills to lead them to a championship win this season. Clark joined the league only last season and has already created a powerful brand name for herself. In the previous WNBA season, Clark was almost single-handedly responsible for boosting the viewership and ratings of Indiana’s games, with a number of matches being completely sold out.
