Caitlin Clark’s physical transformation over the offseason has caught the attention of fans and teammates alike—especially her Indiana Fever running mate, Aliyah Boston. The 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year has noticeably bulked up, and Boston believes Clark’s new build will be a game-changer for the team this season.
Speaking during Wednesday’s media availability, Boston echoed what many online fans have observed. “I feel like everyone talks about it,” Boston said. “I’ve seen it on social media, too. Caitlin has some strong muscles — don’t tell her I said that. Don’t mention that.”
Aliyah Boston, a former No. 1 overall pick herself, sees Clark’s added strength as a key to unlocking another dimension of her offensive game. “She gets in the paint and she’s able to bully her way in and finish strong at the basket,” Boston said. “Everyone talks about her 3-point shooting; we’ve all seen her passing, but I think her ability to get downhill and just stay on balance and score the ball, I think it’s gonna be great this year too.”
Clark had an impressive rookie season, averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. While it took time for her to adjust to the WNBA’s pace and physicality, her added muscle could now help her better absorb contact, attack the rim, and keep defenders off balance.

Year 2: Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston’s Chemistry in Full Swing
As Caitlin Clark enters her sophomore season, her on-court chemistry with Boston is expected to be one of the league’s most dangerous duos. Once college rivals, the two stars now share the same goal—bringing a championship back to Indiana for the first time in over a decade.
“I think it’s gonna be better for the both of us,” Boston said about their second year together. “We know exactly how we like to play, how we like to get the ball, what we like to do in transition, so I think it’s gonna be super easy because we’re gonna be able to flow right into it.”

With Clark’s physical evolution and a deepening connection between the Fever’s young core, Indiana could very well be on the brink of a breakout season.
